Long story short: tell your Congressfolk to stop unconstitutional war-making on Yemen, stop trying to cut Social Security benefits, and stop trying to cut IRS funding. Use the tools in the upper right-hand corner of this page (or, if you're on a cellphone, the bottom of this page) to find your Congressfolk's phone numbers and/or use the email/petition tools in the following paragraphs.
Just Foreign Policy helps you tell your Congressfolk to stop the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional war-making in Yemen. Which even our President himself says isn’t working! We’re already far too involved in one Middle East war, but only a madman then says I know! Let’s start another one! America is far too involved in the Saudi/UAE campaign against Yemen, and don’t go hoping Donald Trump will stop that if he gets re-elected, since he did nothing about it the first time. Not for nothing, but it seems like the big powers just hate people who fight al-Qaeda well, as the Houthis do. Ask the Kurds about that! If you can.
Americans for Tax Fairness helps you tell your Congressfolk to oppose the creation of any “fiscal commission” aiming to cut Social Security benefits, while Daily Kos helps you tell your Congressfolk to expand Social Security benefits. Word on the street is they’re going to try to attach the “Commission” to must-pass budget legislation, but I’d rather have a government shutdown than cut our earned Social Security benefits! And no, if you want to cut Social Security, you’re not “brave” – you’re a corporate shill, which is another way of saying “coward.” Jesus Mary and Joseph if you can’t fight big money, what damn good are you?
Finally, Patriotic Millionaires helps you tell your Congressfolk to reject any further IRS funding cuts. Republicans got some funding cuts as part of the debt limit “deal” last year, but IRS funding still went up bigly, meaning that our IRS has been able to catch more rich tax cheats. Cutting IRS funding will actually increase deficits, since every extra dollar spent on enforcement brings in another $22 in revenue, yet Republicans, who serve no master but mammon, still want more cuts. They want it so bad they’re going to defund the police! And that’s what this is, just for tax cheats.
