Long story short: tell our FCC to bring back net neutrality, tell the Biden Administration to make over-the-counter birth control pills free to all Americans, and tell our EPA to enact the most vigorous auto emissions standards possible. Use the email/petition tools in the following paragraphs to communicate your will.
Demand Progress helps you tell our Federal Communications Commission (or FCC) to reinstate network neutrality protections post-haste. Net neutrality would ensure that your internet service-providing corporation won’t slow down or censor websites you want to see merely so they can push junk news in front of your face or favor websites they want you to see (likely because those websites paid your internet service-providing corporation). It’s one of the few political issues that unites liberal and conservative – which of course meant it was over a decade of pulling teeth to get our FCC to enact it, and then of course meant the Trump FCC repealed it, because people don't matter to Trump, only bosses do. So let’s bring back net neutrality, and make Americans matter again.
Daily Kos helps you tell the Biden Administration to compel health insurance corporations to cover over-the-counter birth control without cost to good Americans. Let right-wingers throw a tantrum over such an event if they like! They always throw tantrums whenever women get something good in their lives! And while having to get a prescription for birth control pills is obstacle enough, cost is also a pretty big hurdle, as you would know if you compared the cost of virtually any over-the-counter medicine with a prescription versus without. Women deserve control over their bodies, and they deserve to control their bodies without having to worry about whether they can afford it. If you have to pay more for it, after all, it’s not a right, is it?
Finally, Consumer Reports helps you tell our Environmental Protection Agency (or EPA) to enact the most vigorous auto emissions standards possible. Who wants to pay more for gas and have their cars belch more filth into our air and water? No one, not even the most right-leaning individual you know. But then the big oil corporations don’t want to do it, and then the most right-leaning individual you know – who really would like to pollute less and make cars run more efficiently – winds up squealing about TEH BIG GUMMINTZ REGULASHUNZ!!!!! and TEH FREE MARKETZ!!!!!! and this is why we can’t talk anymore even though we all want the same things. But talk past them, and to our EPA, and we might get some things done in America.
