Long story short: tell your Congressfolk to pass the PRO Act, tell Republicans you will not stand for raising the Social Security retirement age, and tell your Congressfolk to make school lunches free for all children in America. Use the tools in the upper right-hand corner of this page (or, if you're on a cellphone, the bottom of this page) to find your Congressfolk's phone numbers and/or use the email/petition tools in the following paragraphs.
Daily Kos helps you to tell your Congressfolk to pass the PRO Act, so that corporations won’t be able to walk all over workers trying to organize for better pay and working conditions quite as much as they are now. Folks could only oppose the PRO Act if they think “right-to-work” means something other than “right-to-work-for-less,” or if they think it’s perfectly OK for bosses to simply refuse to negotiate with workers who’ve already voted to organize. And why should such folks get all of the say about everything? Hell, why should they get invites to our cookouts?
Social Security Works helps you tell Republicans we will not permit them to raise the Social Security retirement age. That’s the big solution of “sane” Republicans like Nikki Haley and Tim Scott – none of them will, for example, start to tax income over $160,200 into the system, which would alleviate the shortfalls that are always a few decades off because right-wingers love to cry about “imminent” Social Security “insolvency.” They do it so you’ll be demoralized and fight them less, but don’t let them gaslight you into inaction!
Finally, Daily Kos also helps you tell your Congressfolk that school lunches ought to be free for all children in America. What’s that you say? You mean they’re not already free? By God, what do our taxes pay for, then? Those are all legit questions, but school lunches actually cost money, which fewer Americans have now after half a century of our “leaders” sucking up to big corporate power, so now the especially small minds in government resort to lunch shaming in order to get working families to pony up overdue school lunch bills. No civilization should put up with that – and no civilization should let it get that bad, either.
