Yesterday.

Yesterday the U.S. Supreme Court ruled, by a 5-4 margin, that the U.S. Constitution "protects the right of same-sex couples to marry." And as surely as, in Justice Kennedy's words, "(t)he nature of injustice is that we may not always see it in our own times," the nature of progress is that we may not always see that as it's happening, either. But yesterday was a day we saw progress; it was a day that will fortify us through all the other days progress doesn't seem to happen fast enough. Yesterday was a great day.
