Mark Begich must be seriously hoping he wins, and not just because he's a clown -- he's also a man whose stated political philosophy stands at odds with Alaska citizens' desire to have their Senators bring home the bacon.

Finally, a study finds that a soda drinking habit can be as bad or worse on your teeth as a meth or coke habit. (The American Beverage Association, perhaps not surprisingly, disputes the study.) But cocaine and meth have other problems! you might be tempted to say. Soda does, too -- diabetes, obesity, the taxpayer money spent keeping high-fructose corn syrup cheap not going to address our lousy economy and our failing infrastructure, to name three.
