In today's Washington Post, of all places, we read about folks who take "recycling" to a higher level -- they buy only used items, except for things like, you know, toothpaste and brake fluid and such. They call themselves "Compactors," a magnificently patriotic pun, and they now count 1,800 members. I buy a lot of used stuff -- I buy all my long-sleeved shirts at Goodwill, and I look damn sharp, thank you very much -- but my Kung Fu sure ain't as good as theirs.
How long before Bill O'Reilly calls people like these "terrorists," or before Glenn Beck decides he wants to "strangle" people like these (no doubt asking "is it wrong to feel like doing that?")?
