After seeing Mr. Skilling's testimony before Congress, I knew he was going to be toast, but I thought Mr. Lay might squrim free, given that his prosecutor, early on, seemed more interested in picking fights than nailing down the facts. I'm pleased to be wrong about that latter prediction. "Thieves in the Temple" henceforth declares May 25 as a national holiday.
Sentencing, oddly, takes place on September 11.
