U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder officially ends any efforts to prosecute any government official for torture, or murder, during Bush Mobb-era CIA interrogations. Heckuva job, Mr. Obama!
Eric Cantor (E-VA) thinks Labor Day is a day we celebrate "those who have taken a risk, worked hard, built a business and earned their own success." Ah, no: it's a day we celebrate workers who risked death (and who did die) so that all workers could one day collectively bargain for better wages and working conditions. Like how Mr. Cantor suggests you don't "earn your own success" if you're "just" a worker? History is not whatever Eric Cantor wants it to be.
In a possibly related development, Roy Edroso finds a right-wing nutjob by the name of Lexington Green claiming we should have, in addition to Labor Day, a "Creators Day," to celebrate "the people who make those jobs possible and bring them into existence in the first place." So Mr. Green actually means people who buy stuff? Sadly, no.
"Evangelical" Super PAC says Mr. Obama will "force gay marriage on this country." I, too, remember when Mr. Obama said he'd force all men to marry George Clooney and all women to marry Scarlett Johansson.
