News Corp. head Rupert Murdoch purportedly doesn't think much of Mitt Romney -- too "soft," too much like a consultant and not a leader. I don't know which is more annoying: the notion that Mr. Romney can't win because he doesn't "connect" with Rupert Murdoch or Paul Gigot, or the notion that this "disconnect" isn't all theatre. Of course Mr. Murdoch would want everyone to think he doesn't like Mr. Romney; that makes Mr. Romney more appealing to independents.
