Looking to punch up those not-so-impressive Christmas retail figures and support independent merchants and expose the One True Aim of Tha Bush Mobb? Then go buy a board game called "Wreck the Nation," created by two California women, one a Democrat, one a Republican, both Bush-haters. Dave Lindorff writes about "Wreck the Nation" for Counterpunch. The title, as you might expect, is self-explanatory: you compete with other players in a race to destroy the country with tax cuts for the rich, interminable wars financed on credit, defense contractor boondoggles, and other sundry forms of corruption. And until December 31, the game's creators offer a special three-for-two deal (for a little under $60, before shipping), so you can keep one at home and give two of them away as gifts. Christmas may be over, but everyone you know still has a birthday. So, if I may paraphrase a famous philosopher, go buy a couple "Wreck the Nation" games and help out the economy.
